It's always recess or lunchtime at The Valk Ranch — at least for the chickens. These family farmers focus on providing warmth, nutrition and activity to the birds in their poultry operation. In the almond orchard, they experiment with new farming methods to get the best results and steward the land well, while sharing their story of what it means to be a California farmer.
