MatchPoint® insecticide stops annual bluegrass weevil (ABW) feeding immediately and controls one to five instar larvae. MatchPoint works through contact and ingestion and results in quick knockdown with convenient application flexibility.

Early control of insect-resistant ABW

MatchPoint controls larvae of pyrethroid-resistant ABW. It has a unique Group 5 mode of action, which makes it an excellent choice for rotation programs. It’s also compatible with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs.

Innovative technology

MatchPoint has a lignin formulation that lowers the ultraviolet (UV) degradation of spinosad and provides consistent control. The new lignin technology means watering can be delayed up to 24 hours.

  • Application Rate

    Depending on the pest you’re treating, MatchPoint® insecticide can be applied at a rate range of 3.5 to 18 oz./A. For control of ABW, apply at a rate range of 16 to 18 oz./A.

  • Application Timing

    Apply MatchPoint when field scouting indicates target pest densities. For resistance management programs, do not apply more than three times in any 21-day period. Do not make more than six applications per season.

  • Application Method

    Dilute MatchPoint in water and apply using suitable hand- or power-operated application equipment (such as portable pump, backpack, hydraulic, boom or turf spray gun).

  • Approved Use

    MatchPoint is labeled for use on golf courses and sports turf. It is not labeled for use on residential turfgrass.

  • Additional Information

    MatchPoint gives golf course superintendents and sports turf managers outstanding ABW control with convenient application flexibility. MatchPoint is available in a 64-ounce bottle.
